where to put P plates?

3/4 way through my Greens, will be going for fulls end of this year. Quick question. I was thinking of add this to the front plate holder

but not sure how i should do the boot, since i don't want to scratch the paint, i was thinking of just slipping them in behind the number plates, but afraid of cops getting suss and saying "you're not allowed to hide the plates, they must be visible" i was thinking of going magnetic at the boot but don't want to leave square marks on the boot. Any good and legal way of displaying the P plates at the back?

Just slip it under the plate with the full P visible. They can't really hassle you if it's clearly a P plate.

^ yep thats what im doing. the whole P is still visible so they cant say its hidden....
i do the same for the front - it doesn't touch the paint. Whatever you do, don't go magnetic... they killed my civic

Leave them on the inside of the front and rear windows, take them off when you leave the car parked.

Yeah, I'd go with the window thing, but I think NSW has retarded P plater laws that don't allow it.

Yup as of about 2-3 years ago P plates in NSW have to be on the outside of the car.

Check out this link:
http://www.rta.nsw.gov.au/licensing/...trictions.html

In summary:
Changes to the display of L and P plates on vehicles.
L or P plates may no longer be displayed from inside your vehicle. All learner and provisional drivers must clearly display their L and P plates on the front and back of the outside of the vehicle. The letters L and P on the plate must not be hidden. The penalty for incorrectly displayed plates is two demerit points and a fine.

So I'd say tucking the plate behind your rego plate will be fine so long as the P isn't obsured at all.

That's mine. I've had it like that since I put the new plates on and I've had no issues.

When I went for my test drive, I was able to slip my p-plates (plastic) behind the number plates, without it scratching.
Do you get your 86 tomorrow Davey?

Pop the four corner holes out of the plastic plate and cable tie it underneath your front number plate instead of the side holder.

Magnet plate for the boot on the side.

Just keep some spare plates in the boot.

That law change sucks. I used to have them displayed inside. As people used to steal P's for fun.

Was on p's for 6 years. Lost license 3 times during P's.

Unlucky. Always caught by the sneaky ones hiding. Once you can see them it's too late.
