Are you an imposter or an impersonator?

And during which phase, when you think you're an expert or when you feel like a dumbass?

My feet are often cold, and I love the furnace blast of the floor vent. Obviously a man can’t sustain such conditions.

Solution:
Floor and dash vent. Driver side, 76° dash vent by side view mirror closed. Passenger side, low with dash vent pointed at me. Perfect.

Gosh!! I thought it was just me feeling this way! Is there a ratio of how much time in your 8hour working day that you need to feel like 'expert' before the imposter syndrome fades away?

Nope. Just try to end on an up note. It's like any performance. As long as the finish is solid, all previous mistakes are forgiven.

Making mistakes just means that you're doing the work.

All noted, thanks. I will keep your wise words in mind from tomorrow when my working day begins..

To finish on a solid, today I learned a new life lesson, finish must be solid and all previous mistakes are forgiven..

You need to work as a life coach.

It's not often, like I generally feel I'm an expert in my field. But I'll acknowledge I can always learn more. It's just occasionally I'll listen to someone talk or have them explain something, and I'm just standing there thinking, "Wow, I'm dumb as shit compared to this guy."

TIL: People apparently say "fresh Js" when showing off new Jordans on social media. I found this out while trying to ID malware that uses fresh.js to download the payload...

Today I learned two things.
1. Quickjack is running a sale, $300 off on the 5000lbs lift on Home Depot.
2. Home Depot app still thinks Im in the military, so they applied a 10% discount.

Guess who just got a Quickjack for a little over $1000 vs $1600 MSRP.

Today I Learned that During WWII a US Destroyer (William D. Porter) almost torpedoed the USS Iowa with Franklin Roosevelt onboard in the middle of the Atlantic Ocean.

Listening to the book The Nazi Conspiracy by Brad Meltzer. The primary subject is the Nazi plan to assassinate the Big Three leaders during their Big Three Summit in 1943. Roosevelt was on his way to the Summit when the Iowa battle group (he was traveling on the Iowa) put on a display of firepower for the dignitaries on-board ship.

More details here.

I can't believe with all the literature and documentaries I've consumed on WWII over the years I had never heard this story before.
