Pre-painted parts vs taking it down to get match to your paint. Which do you prefer and why?

basically what I am asking is if I buy pre-painted TRD parts from Japanparts.com how close will their white be to my frs's white.

Alright guys,

Went on over to japanparts.com and the difference of pre-painted parts via non painted is roughly $41.5 USD per part that I'm looking in to. Most of them were $41.5 or $41.49 while one was $24.9 and another was $49.78

I am unsure if anyone has experience with japanparts.com with their pre-painted stuff, but how close is their pre-painted stuff to a 2013 WHITEOUT frs. (not the new "halo" white)

Japanparts.com only import and don't paint. So if you're getting TRD parts, it's painted by TRD. They're 90~95% close. Reason why it's not 100% is due to your car have been out in sun and other weather condition vs TRD part isn't, so it'll make very minor difference. This is why I recommend local body shop to paint it for you. They can adjust the paint to 95~99.9% to your current body paint. (if you go to proper body shop)

This. The older your paint is, the more I'd recommend a local shop.

Do they have rear bumper covers painted?
Could not seem to find them...
Local shop charges $400 to paint rear bumper cover.

TRD rear bumper covers are $343.86 USD pre painted, and $302.36 USD non painted.

For the sake of $40 I would get the painted. If way off then you are only out $40 but if OK then you save the cost of a full paint which is going to be well above $40.

What colour car though? Some it can be way off and still not noticeable (blue, orange, grey) while others (white, black, silver) can be a huge difference.
