Taking Apart Valenti Tail Lights?
Do anyone know how to take apart these tail lights? I did search it up but there's no clear information on taking it apart.

Aren't they like any other light housing where you have to literally bake them in an oven until the glue that holds it together softens (but before the plastic softens, warps and become too hard to handle)?

I took apart the "chinese" ones. Not sure if they're legit Valentis.
They're not held together by your typical silicone. It's a SUPER hard white tape or something. Extremely hard to pull apart for me. |

Old thread, another member PM'd me about this. Bumping this for anyone who needs info in the future.
I took apart the "chinese" valenti v1 tails like I mentioned earlier. The sealant isn't your typical silicone sealant that most cars have where you just bake it open and pull apart. This one is more of a plastic type of sealant and won't get soft even if you bake it or use a heat gun. I had to use a heatgun and a pick/cutting tool to slice the plastic away to pull it apart. Also, this is with a tail light that was damaged in an accident. I just wanted to see what was underneath. http://imgur.com/a/kodfJ Hope this helps anyone in the future.

By Chinese do you mean they are not authentic? Or just made in China?

Also, on the face/lens it has "valenti" on the bottom of it. Sticker on the back of it that says Taiwan.

Those sound like the real deal but it reinforces my suspicion that most of these companies just modify DEPO housings.

Most taillights use the type of sealant that doesn't go soft with heat (unlike headlights). This means it's really difficult to open taillights without leaving severe marks. You could just cut them open and glue them back together later. Look for a DIY on opening oem taillights, process is similar
