Oh, and some more vinyl HP.
Interesting! Where can one buy this?

The link in my post is the guy's website. He makes them in small batches (and he's in Germany) so you might have to wait a bit, but I think it's worth it.

He's actually moved to China and has a friend make and ship them from Germany, so that's why there is some waiting time.

Anyway, I am also quite happy with the quality of the kit.

Got new rubber yesterday, plus got a new Toyota badge on the nose. All is good again.

Finally fixed the rattle from the left front speaker area. I've been fussing about with the speaker cover for like two years, trying different applications of felt, etc.

Today I noticed there was a loose bolt behind the tweeter wire. One rattle down, 27 to go...

If your car is loud enough, you can't hear them anymore

I have learned to ignore them. Way to many. Second Gen looks better so we shall see.

Looks like it doesn't rattle? If you say so

Removed my P3 vent gauge and put the original vent back today. The gauge stopped working back in 2018. I contacted P3 back then, but didn't follow thru. I was a bit busy with life at the time. I'm going to dig up the email from 2018 and contact them and see if they will help me out. Wouldn't be surprised or upset if they won't at this point. Expensive mistake.

It's a Pretty simple system that just reads ECU data. Most likely it's just the ribbon cable. I never liked using ribbon cables for anything outside of a computer case.

Yea, they told me years ago to check the connections, and wiggle the ribbon where it goes into the back of the gauge. Might be my port. I often have a hard time connecting with my dongle, and when I got my smog check, the tech and I had to wiggle the plug around quite a bit until we made a connection.

I wish I knew someone else with a twin nearby to plug it in and check.

Changed my spark plugs for the first time at 6 years/28k miles. Used Kevin Vo's excellent video guide for study material, made sure I had all the same tools, and cracked on with it. Took me 90 minutes start to finish. Surprisingly straight forward! I'm lucky to have skinny arms and relatively small hands though...

And yes, I know I could have left these for another 30k miles or more but I decided it was easy enough to do them now and not have to try and explain to any future buyer why I skipped them

Yeah my big meaty paws might have trouble with this one...
