We're starting to get installs and feedback trickling in.

Billy from Puerto Rico:

"Brake cooling was excellent! All day long brake pedal was firm. Happy customer here." He plans to gather more data using previous caliper paint, hopefully he reports back with some more findings.

And @Takumi788 install is pretty awesome! Got creative with the parts supplied, a little extra 3" hose from Summit, and made it work the way he wanted!

We found one issue with the FRS fog light surrounds, we only tested these with the Winjet units. They fit the Winjet units without modification, but the OEM FRS fog light surrounds appear to be a bit larger in the hole for some reason? He modified the bracket and made it work without major headache though.

As always, we want to produce the best products with an OEM-like install, so please contact sales@velox-motorsports.com with these issues so we can improve our products for other customers .

Thanks,
Eric

That's what you get for prototyping your products against knockoffs. #nofakeshit

j/k

I have winjet headlights, complete hypocrite. Love this cooling setup, wish I had a good reason to put it on my car - but my car has never seen the track - and I've never felt my stock brakes fade, not once.

Do you have more information on this? What kind of modification is required?

The fog light duct typically slides around the fog light ring and sits within a small channel by about 1/8" forward. This can be seen here:

Here is our prototype with the winjet on an FRS (top) and BRZ (bottom).

The FR-S fog light surround is apparently 1/8" larger in diameter and thus, the fog light duct cannot sit this 1/8" forward.

Their would be 2 ways to fix this.
-Enlarge the aluminum bracket so the duct can sit further rearward (that is the route this customer took).
-Trim the fog light duct slightly so it sits flush with the fog light surround.

Hope this helps,
Eric

Below are installed photos of the driver's side per an earlier request. Should fit nicely with most three inch intakes. There is no way to fit the hoses around the OEM washer fluid reservoir though, I tried multiple routes.

Thanks,
Eric

We continue to hear positive feedback from customers who are installing these kits on their track cars, which is great to hear.

Any other questions/comments, please ask and we'll do our best to answer .

Thanks,
Eric

Wish you made this a year ago! This looks like the best kit out there. I've had the TF and now APR kit since TF does not work with an intercooler.

Nice work!

Would limiting steering not increase turning radius, rather than reduce it?

It will increase turning radius. It's not too bad though. It's better than chewing through your parts due to extreme wheel/tire fitment. You won't need them on normal setups.

That's what I thought.
Op says it will decrease your turning radius.

@VeloxEric: what do you think of making "light" cooling kit of porsche-style plastic airflow deflectors attached to controlarms that some retrofit to toyobarus to direct air to brakes but design them especially for ours by mounting way/parts clearance/maximizing ground clearance (IIRC gt86 cup cars ducts attached to underside of bumper lower it) and maximizing directed airflow vs retrofitted ones? Due potentially low price/simplicity of install, such kits may find much wider customer share. Meanwhile i myself probably will wait for few more prioritized spendings to clear and then aim for full kit.
