Everyday Driver tests OFT
Everyday Driver just published a nice video review of their long term FRS. The documented the improvements (dyno and road) provided by the OpenFlash Tablet and FT86 Speedfactory catted header and exhaust.
It's worth watching |

I've been off the ball for a while with these guys. I listened to their stuff and watch their videos all the time, just been super busy lately. Good excuse to get caught up right here.

id second that. i drove stock for 6 months, then oft stage 1 for a year and very recently jdl uel + oft stage 2 and seeing the incremental change as i went from step to step has has really been an eye opener. sure, it still doesn't push your eyeballs back in your head or anything but exhaust + oft really gives the car useable power in every portion of the powerband, your redline powershift breaks the tires loose instead of chirps them and the increase in sub 5000rpm power is extremely significant.
the bang for the buck is totally and completely there. less than $1500 and you can get a quality header installed plus an oft and its worth every penny. (now, im sure that i would absolutely love a supercharger but honestly i can't see myself sinking over 5 grand into it - i dont have that kind of bank account set aside for fun time like some other folks have, more power to them.)

Catted one still helped to get rid of torque dip. And even with lesser gains with added tune on top it seemed reasonable upgrade for at least one. SC spoiled other.
BTW, in side-by-side parked episodes there seemed to be some suspension changes for SC one too. It definitely was lowered. |

This channel is definitely worth a subscribe click, and their podcast is great to listen to. They really do great work, and it's not all about making good film. As their name says, they're about finding something fun for the everyday driver.

I wish they actually drove a better SC setup or a turbo setup would of changed their minds.

That's the great thing about their work. These guys have very different tastes, and only so often do they end up on the same page. It allows them to provide differing opinions on the same vehicle(s) backed up with fact/data/emotion in the same way that we have differing opinions all over this thread and the whole forum.
