Question: if I bought this now, would they still send it with the tin can or with the updated ball?

Mine should be getting mailed off here soon. I'll be sure to update. Switching back to stock midpipe made a huge difference in sound but I can tell a difference in how it's running

I definitely noticed a decrease in throttle response and slower rev times with the stock pipe in. I'll put up some videos later once I get the new front pipe installed.

Just did the install. Went in easy without any issues. Overall fitment is better this time around. The mounting hole for the transmission hanger is wider, allowing you to tweak the angle a little further helping with the engine clearance.
Sound has definitely improved. No more audible tinging sound from outside the car or during normal driving. During WOT the VVT/tinging noise is barley noticeable at 3500-5000 but is definitely not intrusive this time around and is very livable. Drone is basically non existent and the overall-all sound is clean and sporty paired with the 2.5 Perrin and Namless header. Sounds like a street bike on steroids. As far as the power goes, I'm actually pretty surprised how much quicker the car feels with the Front/Overpipe in vs Stock. Revs are quicker and throttle response is WAY better. I'm 100% happy with the new design. Worth the wait. I will try to get some vids up in the next couple days. Last edited by Brinks; 10-24-2014 at 01:13 PM. |

Ok. Does it sound anything like the custom one the guy posted a couple pages back?

Sounds about the same, my set up seems a little quieter. Kinda pissed I didn't know I could have gotten a 3"-2.5 inlet. Ow well I doubt it makes any difference besides preventing exhaust leaks.

Lol figured it would be a touch quieter. I didn't either. Would definitely like to see a dyno between both on a stock car
