I'm new- checking in.
I heard about the ft86 on nasioc back in late 09 and have been very excited ever since, but as i feared it looks like the weight, size, and cost have creeped up from what i and most were originally hoping. i actually have since stopped driving and bike everywhere now usually on track bikes. when i do drive it's a 2003 impreza RS. if i am making enough money when this thing finally launches i will hope to buy one, hopefully with a toyota badge but probably with a scion badge if my pessimistic suspicions are correct. great site, you guys should all be proud! |

Howdy
New here so I thought I'd drop the requisite howdy.
I'm typically known as necessity in forums. Long time member of mazda and subaru forums. Past cars include: 91 Miata 95 Integra 03 6s Currents: 05 STi (Current Daily) 96 Civic Hatch (Current Track Beater) I've been hopeful that Subaru will produce an actual FI STi variant of this platform, but so far it looks like all solutions will be NA. Will keep lurking and keeping my fingers crossed. Thank you for putting the time in to keep this site so up to date. It's nice to have a single source of information I can refer to. |

Hello! My name is Dan and I'm currently living in Florida. I drive a 2008 Toyota Tundra XSP around town and my project car is a 91 Talon AWD that recently joined the 9 second club. 9.992@142 to be exact!
I'm not a big fan of the American bigger is better engine idioteology. I've always preferred the Japanese approach to lightweight, low displacement, force induced cars. I've been waiting over a decade for Japanese auto makers to give me a reason to stop missing the 1990s when they decided to give up fun by killing the Supra, RX, 3000GT, 300ZX, AWD Turbo DSMs, even the "Skyline" and go with earth-friendly cars. Finally it seems the Japanese(and Hyundai) car makers are giving us something to be excited about, reviving some of the classic names. I hope Toyota brings this 86 AND the Supra back, they are in desperate need of something exciting in their lineups. Even if their profits don't agree with me. Anyway, see you around! Cheers |

Hello!
Best place to get information about FT-86, keep it up! Looking forward to it being released Living in Australia at the moment and the daily drive is a MY10 Subaru Impreza, bit worried about the Subaru variant of the FT-86 skipping our shores although fingers crossed it comes... There's always the Toyota but the whole family has Subarus... |

Heheh, what do you want to know?
I'm not as hardcore about cars as most (maybe all) of the others here, but I'm interested in this one. I'm only really starting to learn some car stuff now, but I like small, agile cars that are fun to drive. Never done any racing outside of a couple video games, never done autocross (only really found out about it when I looked it up this week after seeing it mentioned on these forums... looks fun, I'd like to try it out sometime). And I live in Texas. |

Newbie
Hi all, it's been fun reading the threads for the last months as guest but seeing as I am not feeling the love for any other potential replacement next year for my Edition 30 it's time to get serious about this car. So I am looking forward to getting to know you all and watching the first ones past the post getting their cars and seeing the good, bad and the downright ugly of the mods that come up.

Hello everyone
Hey there, been anxiously awaiting the FT-86/FR-S, Might be a buyer. Im a FR sport car lover, I have an old 1988 toyota supra turbo that I want to sell and hopefully get into something new, dont have money for fix'em up projects anymore. I also recently bought my wife a used 2001 S2000 with low miles, we both have really enjoyed driving. Hoping that Scion comes through with a good product and a good price FTW. Hopefully nothing over 22grand.. really want to get one.
