And finally, you can get a 2002 M5 for like 16K and that is the ultimate in sports saloons... with over 400 HP
I know that, I just thought it is interesting to throw it out there. Comparing Price wise, used BMW, Audi, Merc, or Whatever German = Money Sink.

You can buy it for dirt cheap, but then spend thousands every year for maintenance. FRS and BRZ are cheap from Brand-new, and if you leave it stock, it will be as reliable as any Toyota. They will just run forever without Thousands per year to maintain beside the tear and wear items

In 5 years I've only put about 2K in maintenance to my 10 year old BMW... I won't count the coil over's as maintenance though...

@Luis_GT I agree with you the two cars are very very different.

I had E90 328i manual with the sports package and I can say bot cars are just can not be compared. I personally have more fun with the FR-S even though i miss some of the comfort features of the BMW.
@Whitigir I agree with the fact they depreciate extremely fast and cost more to maintain (the bigger the model the worst the financial picture is)

Yeah, this is a weird comparison... And not sure why many people would even care?

A base 3 series is an "übercar"? Since when?

Haha, video guy has it right-- "Haha, it's the world's slowest drag race!" Who cares though, slow means you can have fun on the street

To me, "ubercar" implies something a bit better than an excellent-to-drive, $35k german sedan though.

Honestly, I'd take a 2002tii over any 3 Series.

If there had been a cop sitting just over that rise, I wonder if he would have been able to keep a straight face as he wrote them a ticket for drag racing.

Most likely a ticket for going too slow in the passing lane...
