Sorry no ! I would only consider to run a straight pipe for a race car but for a street car, the DRONE will kill your ears and your brain cells

Thrust me the drone does not bother me, atm i removed my muffler and just welded on a pipe going out, kinda loud but the stock exhaust still has to much bends. My loudest car was a 95 GSX with a straight turbo back, would go tone death at first but i got use to it.

Just got our T1R 70R single installed and absolutely love it! Quality is top notch and the sound is perfect with the setup we have on our Firestorm car. Exactly the sound we were intending when piecing together this system. We paired up the T1R 70R with an HKS 4-1 EL header, Perrin overpipe, and Invidia catted front pipe.

No boxer-rumble here. Just the sweet high revving sounds of a high-compression, four cylinder engine. The exhaust song is reminiscent of the AP1 generation of the Honda S2000 and begs to wrapped out to redline. I am really looking forward to hearing this thing in the powerband all the way around the track, lap after lap.

Under 4K rpm, the tone is quite tame. You know that the exhaust is there, but you don't have to worry about any unwanted attention when just cruising around town. Best part about the setup, no drone. Cruising rpms are still quiet and pleasant, and the system will not impede on any conversations you are having in the car

Thanks for the great product guys!!!

Also, does the tip have to stick out that far? Any way to push it back?

hmm for some reason it doesnt look like T1R...just the appearance and the position of the exhaust tip, is it supposed to be that far out from the rear valence?

Oops, missed that question on this thread. I did reply to this on the build thread, though. I will cross post.

I can't tell you if that is how it is supposed to look, but that is as far in as I can get it with the setup I have. The exhaust hangers are actually pointed inward toward the car, as I pushed back on the muffler before tightening everything down.

It is possible that this catback paired with T1R's frontpipe and overpipe may bring the tip in....I am unsure.

The tip does protrude a bit more than I was expecting, but that could be the result of having a hodge podge, pieced together exhaust system. Either way, I have grown to really like the way it sits in the rear bumper.

Cheers!:happy0180:
