How are you using the stock shifter assembly? Cut and welded? |

Basically I am hoping this perrin lockout will fix my rattle, if not then I might look into doing something like what you want to do. |

I didn't realize this was a common issue on stock 86 shifters until now. Some quick searching shows a couple things to try before I mess with the shortened shifter assembly or an aftermarket reverse lockout. |

Well another kill in the books, me on full E85 vs a WRX making "310 horsepower" from bolt-ons and tune according to the owner; we were both pretty shocked by the outcome.
I'm really impressed that a junkyard 2006 K24a2 with compression on the lower side will make a Twin faster than a modified WRX. Can't wait to throw in a built engine. |

I mean that wouldn't surprise me one bit for sure. But either way I'll take the W. I'd like to race a 370z or STI next that might put me in my place until I get my built engine in. Then it's on to V8 muscle cars

The WRX on a stock turbo really loses a lot of steam on the top end, as torque will drop off once the turbo acts as a restrictor, so a highway race probably won't be where the WRX shines, which is likely out of corner grip/acceleration. In your case, you will likely excel at corner speed/momentum and transient response, as well as, the car will likely do well on straight aways where the high rpms and better top end power means less shifts. https://forums.nasioc.com/forums/sho....php?t=2696527

Yes it seems so. Lowest it got was about 20, and I put a 10w-40 oil in it as well. Seeing >80psi at WOT. Logging from the sensor is much improved
