shouldn't they use the date of when you reached out to them with a concern that the engine wasn't healthy? I'm willing to bet cam bearings.

I think it might be cam bearing as well. I starting to get a list together of everything I need. New bearings all around, head gasket, ARP Head Bolts, gasket kit...

Which block is it? These engines are what I specialize in and to my knowledge, when you spin a cam bearing, that's it. They don't make a properly oversized bearing. It requires a new block unless you spend the BIG money on roller cam bearings. Which is not very common.

This guy has a weird issue. Low oil Pressure and Metal Shavings. Tore apart the engine and didn't find anything too bad. Put new bearings and everything and still had lower oil pressure but runs fine. https://ls1tech.com/forums/generatio...n-reuse-3.html

Well i'm not sure if you recall me posting awhile ago, My engine had this same exact issue that youre experiencing. I had a vortech supercharged build motor corvette that spun a cam bearing. the bearing actually started coming out of the bore and rubbing against the cam. I had like 9psi of oil pressure with the factory sensor and didn't change much with RPM. Literally had to cut the bearing out and the block was trash. I hate to say it but I would call texas speed back and tell them that you reached out to them when you first saw the problem and they said just deal with it. Now that you have proof it is bad, they said oh well it's passed warranty. That's shitty.

I don't think it is that drastic. I still have oil pressure up to 45psi. Possible oil pump failure/clog? I'm not sure, and won't till it's opened up.
I will get everything measured up before ordering. Have a few friends with the tools to do the job so that is nice.

I'd change some of those. I'm not sure who you get your parts through but I'm sure I can save you a little money. If you're interested in a little feed back and maybe a little price savings, pm me.

This is just a preliminary check on pricing. Won't know if I need undersized/oversized until it's apart.
Save $160 if I don't get the coated bearings. I think it's worth the extra price.

Fuck man. ...and after paying that huge, TSS marked up price tag to avoid this kind of b/s.

Well, I'd get different bearings all together. And I would also do the head studs vs head bolts. I always feel safer torqueing down on thread of the studs vs threads of the block, especially with ARP. The block will give before the bolts do.
