Wether the offset will cause the tire to "poke" out of the wheel well more or "suck" it in further.

Will someone confirm if the following will fit? Looking for function over aesthetics even with limiting myself to street driving
Ive seen some people do 235s on 8" wheels; wanted to see if 245s will work too. From my estimation the below will still clock in slightly below OEM tire/wheel weight. Although I see 235s weighing up to 2lb less, 235/40R17 is just not a common size. * Stock suspension. Coil overs to lower are an option around 60k miles or so when my stock suspension wears out. * stock engine. No plans ever to mod engine for power * stock brakes. Pads and brake lines will be replaced later * Weds Tc105n 17x8 +42 square setup * 245/40R17 tires, probably the hankook Venus v12 Evo K110 (a mouthful) or dunlop star spec * Hub centric rings Another question, does tire rack list tire weights with air or is it just material? |

225 or 235 is ideal on an 8. 215 & 245 will also work fine.

I would think it would cause the sidewalls to be pretty flexible and "roll over" during hard cornering but if you say thats not the case I will agree. No problem admitting it when i'm wrong lol.

I wouldn't say your wrong .. Just maybe a difference of opinion/preference.
But, no, it doesn't roll over. :happy0180: ultimately depends on tire selection.

What size tire do you guys recommend for a 17x7.5 wheel with a 42 or 45mm offset? Any brands?
