my interior re-design

i changed it up a bit.

all wrapping and stitching was done by Overland Designs (www.overland-designs.com). fabrication and etc done by me.

first of all, i hated not having an armrest so the OEM armrest was a must. then i was really not happy with the fact that there isn't enough cubby room/holes in the car, nowhere to put my phone, etc etc. so i decided to change it up and make this interior more to what I like and would want.

i unded up relocating a few things. here is so far what is done:

1) push start went where heated seats were. (Sti pushbutton/AUS black buttons)
2) Heated seat went infront of shifter by each seat
3) cut out the limited din thats next to push start button, cut and molded it to fit center console.
4) Add genuine leather kneed pads and speaker pads.
5) since push start was moved, the bigger Premium brz din was added for more room.
6) Mold center trim into one piece, genuine Alcantara wrapped by Overland Designs (www.overland-designs.com)
7) Alcantara hvac surrouns
8) Alcantara vent rings
9) Alcantara and Red stitched Center Vent trim
10) Alcantara and Red stitched e brake boot
11) Red Alcantara with black stitching Shift boot
12) "Black Jack" powder coated @Anarchy Motive knob with aluminum reverse lockout.
13) Perforated Alcantara door cards where em plastic perforated is
14) red GT3 pullstraps (door lever delete) with perforated alcantara block off plates
15) Alcantara and Red stitched cluster hood
16) dual clsuter 52mm gauge pod made by me.
17) Alcantara re-wrapped OEM wheel (pending)
18) E90 cupholders molded into passenger dash (pending)

here is where it started, and what it turned out like. i molder glued and did the relocating. Its wrapped by Overland04 (nasioc name) and the fabric is genuine blakc alcantara from JPM.

i will update once everything is in the car, let me know what you think.

https://www.facebook.com/OverlandDesigns

and here are the photos:

final results:

PART 2 of my over haul

replacing door handles with GT2 RS style pull straps, added perforated alcantara to door cards, wrapped/stirched hood/ebrake/center vent

part 3:

starting to clean it up. went with the STi blue edition button, picked it up at the local dealership and then painted the ring gloss black. now i need to figure out what to do with the shift knob, copper is no longer appealing to me.

interior before:

Before/After

i'm leaning towards some sort of shade of black, but honestly i don't know for sure, but the copper has to go.

Decided to go with a red boot.

I've been considering doing Alcantara wraps myself as well. Can you comment on the process or difficulty of doing so?

This makes me for sure that I will be wrapping my speaker pads, knee pads, center console and gauge hood. It should do well with the new Carbon stuff going in soon.

Yeah I know we are looking into it, not too sure how far we have got with them yet.

And the Tails were super easy to re-pin, I think it took me about 15 minutes total and that included the testing to make sure I had the pins correct lol. Let me know if you have any questions on them

Thanks,
Rick
