Silver FR-S sunset photos and... Twin turbo mod.
I am out of town for the weekend in Bend, Oregon and I stopped by the really nice new Toyota/Scion dealer here last night to check out the silver FR-S!
I liked the argento much more than I expected. I always have thought of silver negatively, but on the FR-S it looks really great and I was pleasantly surprised! I want it. This dealer is prepping to do a custom install for a customer, who is from British Columbia. The modification? Twin Turbos, which will bring that FR-S to 315BHP I hope to hear more about that once it's done! I want it.

Nice pics, it does look good even on a screen.
They need two turbos to get all the way to 315 BHP? I would love to see the end result of this install, but my curiosity is more morbid than anything else. |

He could have said "350" but I thought it was 315.
The salesman also said he personally had the opportunity to drive both the FR-S and the BRZ at Portland International Raceway in one day. He says the FR-S seemed like a much different car than the BRZ, a much better car. He was saying how ridiculously fun it is, taking the corners sideways at 120mph. He also took a FT86 prototype around PIR a while ago, which was not nearly as good of a car as the final product according to him.

i hope its not a twin turbo setup on the FA20..or EJ20TT from the legacy..possibly the worst turbo Subaru engine ever.

It really is! I have seen the Asphalt, the firestorm, and argento, and I think argento is my favorite so far. I can't wait to see white

Nice car. I think they dealer may have been blowing smoke up your ass a bit though. The only place he could've potentially hit 120 in this car would be on the back straight, and there is no way he went through turn 9 at that speed in this car.

I haven't driven the car so I can't speak to the car's power characteristics but a NA miata will do ~105 actual on the back straight. 120 might be possible with someone running on the ragged edge. But even then I don't think it has the straight line speed to do that, and certainly not with a salesman behind the wheel, and DEFINITELY there is no "going sideways at 120." Besides we all know indicated =/= actual speed. |

Yeah he wasn't saying it factually, he was saying how fun the car is so he exaggerated it a bit.
He did say it is the best car he has ever driven though

Keep us updated on the TT development. Never heard of a dealer doing a custom install of aftermarket parts. Interesting.
