C1, C2, C21 all wear very little on the street, C1 in particular wears at the rate of a street pad on the street. All 3 will dust like the motorsport pads they are. C2 and C21 will wear rotors a bit faster at street temps, compared to a street pad. C1/C2/C21 on the street actually is not "throwing away" pad at all. C12 on the other hand, will wear very, very quickly at street temps, but at race temps, last exceptionally long. This is why the C12 is only available by request for the 86; the folks who want it know what it is, and know to ask. While it's not recommended, many folks will street drive the C1, C2, C21, and even the CE2, because they do still work just fine at street temps, and some folks don't mind the dust/noise in exchange for braking performance. On the other hand, the C12 absolutely should not be daily street driven under any circumstance, except perhaps to and from the track. |

The CP is a street pad, and will easily out-last an OEM pad apples to apples, and the advantage only grows if you push the pad a bit. The CP will handle race temps without issue, but will need a longer cooldown after sessions as it's not a motorsport compound. Not doing the cooldown properly will result in uneven deposits, which means pedal vibration.
Anyone who is tracking regularly should use an appropriate pad for the track. The CP is for those looking to have an OE+ experience. It'll handle elevated temps without issue, but that elevated temp is not the primary use case design. The goal for the CP is to have a quiet, very light dust, street pad, with an exceptional ceiling. Any ABS abuse and the CP will not be happy on track. Novices will be okay on track, and veterans who have an advanced grasp of threshold braking will also not have issues for HPDE. Actual racing should never be performed on the CP. |

We've tested too many compounds (and entire catalogs of dozens of pad manufacturers), our race customers have a proven track record of hard racing, and we know exactly what each one will do or provide. The downside is, no matter how good the compounds are, there will always be people who talk themselves into using the brakes outside of its chosen application. For example, those who say they're racing, but they do 0-40mph pulls from light to light then explain how hard they are on brakes. Or the guy who does 25 track days and says he's just a casual so he uses street pads because he doesn't believe he needs to spend money on "exotic brakes". With that said, we will be updating the website soon to incorporate a lot of changes to verbage and applications. Time and staffing has always been a precious commodity. I wanted the CP pads to daily drive and do our local autocross where I have yet to see any speed above 50 MPH.
