Good day to all!
Very nice to see all the enthusiasts here. Does anybody know if there is a group or club for 86/BRZ in Gauteng? |

What was it - well, who knows? All I know is that it was very much there, and very irritating on Friday morning on my way to the racetrack, and on Friday afternoon on my way home - it was gone, and it's still gone!! On Friday morning, I was also uncomfortable with my brakes. The pedal was taking up too low, and it needed a pump to get it up to where it should be. Didn't worry me because I'm comfortable on track giving my brakes a dab to raise the pedal - done it many times when they're getting to end-of-life. Anyway, to cut a long waffle short - after one session on track they were perfect, and still are. The moral of the story is - if you've got something niggling with your car - then go pull the asss out of it on a racetrack and it'll go away (or break, then you'll know what it was) Here's a few indulgent photos from Friday of @JouMaSeHoes and I. There's a reason we do this - it's a lot of fun!!

I've recently become the proud owner of a 2010 BMW Z4 3.0 sDrive.
It's a super car and I like it a lot. Hasn't got the raw grunt of my 86, but there's lots to love. Especially the fold-away hard-top, and the fact that it's only got 8000kms on the clock. My 86 has been feeling very neglected, so this afternoon we took it for a spin to Kaapsehoop. And now, after owning the car for three and a half years, I've eventually realised why it's so special. The handling, the driving experience, and the feel-good feeling of my 86 on a twisty road (despite it being on semi-good behaviour with Lindy in the car) is amazing. Just frikkin amazing!! When one draws a direct comparison, the 86's amazing handling and feel just come out tops in the smiles dept. Viva 86!! In case you were wondering, the Z4's replacing my old Forester XT.

Just seen your post now - not sure if you were talking about about my car?
If so, thanks If not, then ignore my waffle below... It's mainly a track car, so it's not pretty close up. Mooi van ver, maar ver van mooi. I don't actually like stickers, but I do like sponsor's stickers - a lot!! It stinks of oil, brake fluid, and rubber because there's always lots of those things in it. And it's never clean at the track because my nearest track is almost 300kms from home, so it gets pasted with bugs and road grime on the way there But it goes like stink, and I love it dearly If you'd like a spin on track, just say so. I enjoy taking passengers out when it's not a competitive event, and nobody's died yet Last passenger was @GeeTee86 and he's still alive
