Conical lug nut with extended thread question...

On my set of Speedline Corse wheels, they came with conical sealed lug nuts with the extended thread.

Would it be safe to use conical lug nuts that don't have the extended thread? I don't feel like blowing $100 to find out. Tried Google, didn't find anything. Really difficult to find good quality leg nuts with out size and an extended thread.

For those confused, in the image below. 2nd from top to the left is what i have.

Double check the diameter of the wheel lug nuts holes. The ET nuts may not fit through.

Only useful if the extended thread portion fits inside the wheel. Usually you'd only need something like this if it was a wheel drilled for 14mm wheel studs but you're using 12mm wheel studs.

It's quite common with Euro-spec wheels designed for lug bolts. I'm guessing the wheels were meant for a VW originally.
