What are you at now? -3.5* is prob the minimum I would run for a competitive STX car. Most of us are at -4.5* at this point, I think.

im at -3.1 since i DD it. my daily indy500s are doing fine but it looks like im shredding my REs. Maybe I'll go to -4 if i can? I cant see DDing any more. my back at -2.6 seems to be pretty spot on which is the only real thing saving my tires

I played around on the alignment rack and moved camber in front from 2.6 to 4.5* and the toe barely changed at all, maybe a tenth of a degree. I wanted to see if I could knock out the camber for longer freeway trips (e.g. to Crow's Landing).

Could always align for more and just take out the camber for street driving.

So what you are saying is i can essentially just max the camber plate at the event and dd at -3 and i wont have wonky toe out?

That much camber change is definitely going to have an effect on your toe. More negative camber yields toe in.

On my car it didn't effect it enough for me to worry.

You might check on the alignment rack, but I'm not going to worry about big camber sweeps for my car to transit the car to far events.

i might just ask them to max the plates and set slight toe out, then move it down until 0 toe to DD on

That is a completely normal wear pattern for an RE71R. Flip 'em one event prior to your next major one and go at it again from the other side.
