14 boxes of 6 Each giant muffins from Sam's Club. Total 84 muffins for a whooping 45,360 calories (the equivalent of 1.5 gallons of gasoline, thereabouts).
That was half full, with the seat up, so the trunk will hold twice that much.

That's strange, Toyota claims that the FR-S will hold "up to" 114,448 calories worth of muffins.

Box from TRD exhaust with stock exhaust in it. Passenger seat all the way at front of track and folded forward and some very creative wiggling!

From race days past...
I loaded a full set of tires (duh), helmet, and three boxes (roughly 2'x3'x3' each) full of clothes, tools, and food for 3 full days. There was room to spare and full visibility

Bumping this thread...
I usually lurk, but I'm making an IKEA run today. The FR-S is the only car I can take, and IKEA is 3 hours away. Wish me luck. Shopping list: 1x Grusblad (comforter) 1x Trofors (Pillow Top) 2x Moshult (Foam Mattress) 1x Svärta (Twin Sized Bunk Bed) The mattresses come compressed / rolled, so I'm not too worried about them. The bunk is going to be the hardest part. IKEA doesn't have the package dimensions listed online, but it does say 3 packages -- The bed is about 78" long, so I expect the biggest box to be around that. It'll be carrying the bedrails, and side railings for the top bunk, so if I had to guess it'll be about 12-15" tall, and about 6-8" wide. Don't have pictures, but I took the car on a trip to Utah once -- had two suitcases (one clothes, one snowboarding gear), my snowboard, backpack with laptop, books, etc, wedding present for my friends... All of that fit on one side of the trunk, behind the driver's seat (rear seats folded). Snowboard nosed in between the seats, and behind the passenger seat I laid out a sleeping mat and sleeping bag, so I could lay out and take a nap! So if all 5'8" of me fit from trunk to passenger seat (passenger seat moved forward), I figure I'll have to get creative to find the other 10" of space! EDIT -- Well, the mattresses, pillow top, and all the little odds and ends I picked up fit with room to spare... unfortunately the boxes for the bedframe were a LOT bigger than the listed dimensions online. Had to give up and borrow a friend's truck. Last edited by cabarnett92; 02-13-2015 at 01:04 AM. |

From yesterday. Let's see, we've got a 10inch subwoofer and amp, my golf clubs, 3 pairs of golf shoes, a backpack, and about a weeks worth of grocery's including 2 12pack's of soda and 2 cases of bottled water. Who said the 86 isn't practical?

Another use of the 86 as a pickup truck. 6 Ft step ladder and a box with some various painting supplies in it for my son who just moved into loft and is doing some painting.
