I watched today some old-ish VW bora at redlight before me. It had really overstretched tires. FWD wannabe drifting scene, i guess . To me it looks stupid, when form takes over function that much.

215/45/17: this isn't the car for you

225/45/17: track days brah

235/40/17: I don't like having choices in life

245/40/17: goldilocks

Above 245/40/17: make more power, yo

In all seriousness, I like 245/40/17. It's closest to the stock size, albeit could be considered overkill in terms of a stock-ish car. It will stick for days; and I am only running Hankook Ventus V12 Evo2. I considered 235/40 since I am all stock power wise, but I didn't like the tire choices. 225/45 is a bit taller than stock. It fills the wheel gap well, but also "lifts" the car overall (could be good or bad depending on personal decisions). I run tall winter tires for that specific reason, but summertime is all about the normal look for me.

I'm on 215 now and I feel sketchy lol
Definitely going to be going 235/245.... Anything above that seems overkill
