is anyone having issues with the vband clamp rubbing against the top brace bar that extends down in the middle, behind the radiator fans, to the bottom? you can see the two bolts for the bottom of this brace bar in the pics shown in this discussion.

No problem with that here, but I have to admit there is not much room to the front resonator of the intake.
I'm going to remove the resonator before summer. I fear it could possibly melt.

could you tell me how far yours is currently away from
a) the thin ass top brace that extends down, especially in regards to the v-clamp? mine is like a mm away...
b) your front resonator of the intake?

This would be much highly appreciated.

Also, if anyone can tell me how come mine doesn't come with the flex piping?
If you look at the ones on ft86speedfactory it has no flex piping, but if you order from JDL website it does...

Lastly, what can I add to make my set up less raspy?
Currently at (along w/ the JDL catted EL) HKS spec-l catback, OFT tune, and stock everything else.

My vband hit the same support, and the top of the loop melted an intake resinator. I was impatient, and decided to cut out a section of the support, and then got a new inlet hose omitting the resonator/sound tube. JDL offered to send me a brand new header, to take care of me, but the support was already cut, so i didn't take them up on their offer.

I had an irritating fluttering noise when i still had the stock overpipe --this mostly went away after installing a larger diameter OP and wrapping the header/OP. I have this paired w/ the factory fronpipe and Greddy SP Supreme catback. Sounds GOOD

I still have a brief nasty metallic noise just before 4k when under heavy load... I've read that this is due to the drastic change in vvt in our EL tunes, and that it's unavoidable/harmless. Personally, i HATE the sound, but i think the only way to get rid of it, is to switch to an UEL header and tune:/
