Yeah, mine's paid for too, already have the title...Had to look up hoon..Oops, caught me.

I chose the base model with 17" wheels and hard rubber tires for also in silver. Good taste! To perhaps recapture some feelings my first car gave me, a silver, light in the rear, very tail happy hot rodded 72 Monte Carlo.

Yeah, I was going to keep mine mostly stock..But already bought new speakers and a slightly thicker rear sway bar.
Do people in NC ever leave a car stock?

True, but it doesn't take much hauling capacity to run "oxy" -

When I ordered mine a month ago I had $28,000 saved up for it. I put it all equally in Tesla, Apple, Palo Alto Networks, and Invidia. In May I'll sell all the stocks, pay cash for the car, and any money left over covers gas and mods for the summer. The better the market does, the more I have to play with.

Not saying they won't sell but we have a little thing called "winter" up here that impacts performance car sales far more than you would believe. Guys that order knowing they will come in the winter are fine with it but many will just wait for spring. It happens with every make and model and is not BRZ specific.
Exactamundo! There are exceptions. Like when I bought my CX-5. Took delivery in February, which kinda made sense.

So don't like debt either, and right now my mortgage is my only debt. I have a BRZ on order and could pay cash for it, but assuming rates are still low (I can get under 2% right now, but they are expected to rise this year), with the official inflation rate approaching 7% it may make more sense to just finance it.

Won't be capital gains since it will have been held less than a year, it would be standard top tax rate stuff (top of the individual's tax rate) which will likely be worse than capital gains..

I got the Hakone in February but that was because it was the last MT one for sale in the country. It had been sitting in the showroom at a dealer on the other side of the country since November though. I also didn't take delivery of it until the end of March so missed the worst of one winter at any rate.

My wife is the finance manager for an RV sales dealership and I have no idea how she does it but whenever she sits with the finance manager of a car dealership they talk gibberish for about 20 minutes and we somehow end up making money by financing!

the 86 is staying until i need to get a new car (be it accident, costs too much, etc) So far the plan is for paid off and beyond. Longest i had a car was 9 years with a corolla XRS, and would have held onto it had i not got in an accident.

Ill be well into my 40s by then haha.
