Lojack service

I had Lojack installed in my car by the dealer when I bought it and I'm now due for an inspection to check the battery health of my Lojack (was last checked 2 years ago). Called up the customer support number and was informed that the Lojack name had been sold to a new company which doesn't have techs who could service the "Classic Lojack" I have, they can only service their "New Lojack." They gave me the number of the parent company which used to own Lojack, CalAmp. Called them and they also don't have techs. So apparently my options now are to just wait and hope one company or the other figures out how to get techs to support their product, or buy a New Lojack and have that installed.

Anyone else have experience with this and know if there's any way of getting these inspected? Customer support at both companies is basically just there to tell you that Lojack was sold and is no longer supported.

@Brink, I would say that it is time for you to remove the LoJack device from your vehicle and cancel any services that you are currently paying for, if any. Then install a new device in a discreet location that YOU and YOU ALONE can monitor through an app on your phone.
