Edit: Thinking more about it, someone in another forum tried pre-ordering like 3 days ago, and they said they were not doing pre-orders.

So maybe they are first come first serve.... interesting.

Im in the Tampa Bay area Clearwater to be exact. Im #3 on the list at my old dealer i worked at for a FR-S in Raven with the 5axis kit (AutoWay Toyota/Scion in Pinellas Park). Im glad to see FR-S/BRZ guys in South FL.

And my old service manager was saying to me they will be getting FR-S 3 weeks before release date. The car will be a service department TEST car and after release will be a Demo car for Local tech schools. Soon as the car comes in he would get me a test drive with it. So soon as that happens ill get Pics.

I think dealers would be better off cutting down the bull.., and being truthful about it. The first post was written 3/24, when a rep from SPP said they were getting the car in "4 weeks". The second post was written 4/9 stating "3-4 weeks". I'm sure today they still don't know for sure when is it they are getting them.

IMHO, I would genuinely have preferred for the dealer to have said we still don't know exactly when we are getting them but will update you as soon as we can give me your number or email. Or something like, official word from SOA is for a late Spring 2012 release.

That would have gotten my respect from them. And let's not even talk about the fact that they were not doing pre-orders....
