The duct has a guide to send air theoretically towards the intake on that side. I made the piece also extend back under the crash bar to guide air into the rad rather than up into the bumper

I like it. The duct needs to be straight. And I would go matte black. Other than that, it's awesome. Good idea.

I like the idea...don't dislike the execution but not real fond of it either. I would suggest the following:

Symmetrical intakes
A little more flush with the intakes
Flat finish
Recess the assembly a bit further back so it doesn't look like it is part of the nose but more part of the grill.

Good luck!

I am actually in the process of laying up the negative replica mould which will be modified with adding appropriate inlets. I am planning four rectangular openings spaced across the 'mustache' with proper radius on the edges for smooth air flow (Think the entrance to a venturi) and visually pleasing. After I get the mould made I will be doing the actual part layups with polyester and glass cloth, fitting n painting.
Why? , I just wanted to get rid of that obnoxious piece on the front of the car, I don't need the extra cooling or 'clean, cold air' intake.
