Tire size for 17x8.5 +32 +42
Haven't seen anyone do this yet so here goes.
I'm running same size wheels with different offsets front and rear as I want a flush look without spacers, and don't care too much about the hassle of tire rotating. Will be dropped 1-1.5" Can someone please recommend a tire size to keep rolling diameter similar to stock and won't rub? Maybe 235/40? :s Many thanks in anticipation |

I think you hit the nail on the head w/ 235/40s or probably even 45s, that will work w/o issue (small speedo errors). Not exactly the same diameter as stock, but close enough.
ENJOY!

Depends what are trying to do.
205/40 or 215/40 will be lighter, and effectively shorten your gearing for cheap. They also lower the COG of the entire car. And they can be as grippy as you like. Easy to get semis in that size. So many positives. (Guess what size I run) The negative is, they increase the wheel arch gap, so you will get hate from hellaflush/stance/hardparkers. I care about that about as much as I care about women's soccer. |
