Only problem is not too many people really want to drive two hours away, maybe drive more at autox, then two more hours back home. If we were 40 minutes away it would be much more appealing, just my two cents.

maybe drive more ... maybe ...

one does not simply drive to an auto-x event and not drive at auto-x

trust me when i say you'd have a blast if you participated (just co-pilot bernie's car so he has to do most of the driving to and from

).

hell my wife wants to co-pilot my car after taking her to an event and she only got to do ride-a-longs.

Don't need "too many" people. Even 10 would be a great time. People do Leavenworth and Bridge of the Gods cruises all the time which is as far as or further than Packwood. The only difference is you get cell reception at those places. =)

There are also several dozen scenic sites to stop at on the way to/from for photo ops. Although how many you can hit on the way there depends on when you leave since registration for auto-x closes at 12:30.

packwood is also a quick jaunt over to ranier state park for great photo-ops should someone be inclined.

410 is a nice drive... but with nice weather and "summer traffic" - could be slow going during the day. I was just on 410 this last Saturday on my motorcycle -- in the mid-morning -- and traffic was already starting to build up.

Joey, we both have each other's contact information. When our big event passes we can get into more details of the autocross as I am heavily focused on the "We've got 86 Event".

Let's keep this thread on track please.

Need at least 20 cars to make this happen!

Currently at 15 cars with 7 maybes. C'Mon guys/gals! Let's do this! I'll also have some stickers for my North end folks!

Update, everything is greenlight for me! Got my new schedule, last truly free weekend I'll have since I'm switching to rotational schedule now.

Mountain pass driving on Saturday then meet&greet on Sunday, might as well have some fun!

My poor car is going to hate me.
