And from your location I think there was a war that didn't go so well for your side either.

I believe the main operations that helped win the war were the Enigma device cracking at Bletchly park and how that allowed the Battle Of Britain to wipe out a large portion of the Luftwaffe. Granted that was a joint effort between Britain, USA, Poland, Ireland, New Zealand, Canada.... et al.
Yes America helped, but so did a lot of countries with the exception of the cheese eating surrender monkeys.

The Irish have invaded a lot of places too. Like "we" invaded the USA quite successfully and nobody noticed. How many of your friends are Irish descendants? How far do you have to travel to find an Irish pub? The fact the bombs that blew up my home town, THREE TIMES were funded for by rallies held in Boston et. al, is probably not to be mentioned... too late.

Sorry tcoat, that was a response to the photo not to you, I'm not toofamiliar with that photo. If it's our original capital in 1812, we handled that one too. If you are referring to our current war and or Vietnam, that's what happens when you elect left wing socialist pu$$ies who don't let warriors fight. While the Enigma was important, overwhelming firepower and volume of fighters would've done the nazis in anyway. Especially with well trained warriors, and well placed overwhelming firepower. I never ever question the resolve of England, but even the battle of Britain was purely defensive for the Brits. There is a reason Churchill was constantly trying to get Roosevelt to bring the USA into the war before we were there. He knew Britain lacked resources and industrial might to go offensive. I believe That is part of the reason he lost the post war election. The rest of the world wasn't getting it done with the Nazis. With the exception of the Russians, no one had a chance to mount any true opposition in an offensive manner. And without Germany being spread so thin due to the western front, the Germans would have stopped their(Russian) antiquated forces when they got out of the arctic conditions. Many international historians believe this, ancient reading from my former life. Plus, America dammit!

We are already pushing the limits of "political talk" from the rules. (And a bloody good thing this thread was already dead or it would have been the most off topic derailment in forum history)

Nah, I knew from the start that I would not "win" that debate so backup would not help. I have had that same conversation so many times through my military service that I probably mutter it in my sleep and have not once had somebody look stuff up and go "oh shit that is right".
