So, updates are long overdue, hence some fresh news.
I have forgotten the race sequential - the decreased reliability and low lifetime coming with such gearbox was not working for me, hence I looked for an alternative solution. I purchased a Nissan z33 cd009 conversion kit for the 86, which was ticking most of the box: handles high level of power, possible to install and OEM reliability. My mechanic actually finished installing it - it took the afternoon, so it was not that complicated. Below a comparison between stock gearbox and the new one To install it, we had to cut some part of the tunnel, and weld in some new supports. By the end of the day, done deal! We're now finishing the interior, and the car is going to be ready!

Your build is incredible! I love the parts you selected. Everything is arguably the best out there.
With all of the thought that obviously went into this build, what was your reasoning on going supercharged over turbo? And then why the ACE Anaconda over the 350? Last edited by Infinity; 10-05-2019 at 12:33 AM. |

Above this power, even a fa20 with forged internals can blow up anyway. The ace a350 is designed for n/a applications. The anaconda for supercharged engines.

First test on the track with the new setup.
Everything worked well, the CD009 transmission behaved admirably. I was targeting 1:59 at the track "les ecuyers", but managed to put down a best lap of 1:54:6 with a passenger. This starts to be quite a serious lap time, on par with porsches gt3 RS. My engine is reaching the end of its life though, and I am now waiting for the one in ordered from bluemoon. Best lap of the day:

This is amazing! I can't imagine the looks you get on track when you pass exotics in this thing!

But the point remains valid. Going faster than 200k cars in something that everybody expects to be slow is priceless!

How do you intend to reach that goal? Stock compression? I don't think anyone has hit that target with the Harrop TSV kit yet. If I'm remembering correctly even Harrop's own phase 2 build with E85 and the HKS 2.1l Stroker kit was punching in at around 420whp.

And I made a mistake, power goal is 500hp at the crank, not at the wheel. That would make 420ish whp, which is reachable on a traditional dyno on regular fuel, I believe. The CR would be lowered a bit on the ordered engine
