Just ordered these! Before I pulled the trigger, my top 3 choices were STs , RCEtarmac zeros, and these Bilstein PSS14. This is my DD with some occasional spirited back country cruises and occasional track use. Since they are priced so low on ft86speedfactory right now it's really hard to pass on them. Can't wait till I get them on!

Are you installing it on your 9.5 width wheels?

Can you please let us know how it goes in terms of clearance?

Thank you!

Yup, after looking at them closely it looks like the spring perch is narrow enough to clear. The part that rubs on wide wheels is the wide stock spring perch and these are only wide after the first coil on the springs. I'll let you guys know for sure after installation.

IMO the Bilstein will lend itself better to bigger bumps while the KW, ST, or our RCE T0 will be smoother on smaller bumps. That's generally the case with a good monotube vs. a good twintube. It's going to be good ride quality either way.

Which is best on deep potholes? Seriously. I live near Raleigh, where potholes have to be deep enough to bottom out in before they'll fill them.

Looking at the threaded adjustments there isn't a preload adjustment. Is this because even at its most conservative setting the spring needs to be compressed much like stock springs? Or because progressive springs or both? I don't want the clunking normally associated with lack of or incorrect preload. thanks for the clarification.

Yes the springs are progressive instead of linear like on most other coilovers. My drop is 1" lower (from factory height) and even though there is some preload on the springs at this setting I don't get any clunking whatsoever, ride is controlled and very well damped.

Clunking is normally associated with incorrect installation. All suspension systems generally have some amount of preload....even the stock suspension does. If you didn't have preload, the springs will become 'loose' when fully extended. Not really an issue unless you get airborne often.

Are the new Bilstein B14's very similar to the Tarmac 0's? Springs look a bit bigger on the Bilstein's. I was curious to how they ride on the street while lowered. I'm on the last thread on the front of my 0's and all I get is that long bump travel over small "hill-like" bumps. Otherwise a very smooth ride.

I'm also interested in how these fit on your wheel setup. When do you plan on installing?

Didn't get my Bilstein's today . It required a signature and my wife and I were stuck working so now I have to wait until Monday for either a second delivery attempt or pick up at their customer center. I thought ups delivered on Saturdays but I guess not.

@FT-86 SpeedFactory or anyone else; how do these compare with the RCE Tarmac Zeros, besides the linear vs. progressive springs?

Looking at a set of B14s to purchase, so a review on how they perform would be great. Subscribed!
