Thanks all for the reviews and comments. Can anyone advise the minimum drop that the B14s allow? Couldn't tell for certain from their website. Looking for an 1" drop to start.

http://ft86speedfactory.com/bilstein...vers-1216.html

30-50mm = approx 1.18" minimum to 1.97" maximum

Looks like the price just lowered by $100, too!

But the Bilstein website says 10mm minimum.

@ft-86SpeedFactory can you confirm which is the correct minimum, 10mm or 30mm? Thank you.

30-50mm is their general target for their kits. It is part of Bilstein's generic description of the coilovers. If you check the vehicle specific listing on both the German and US site, the range is 10-30mm

That's what I feared. I guess I'm out. I need more drop than what these will provide. Otherwise I think they're damn fine coil overs.

H&R Street Performance Coilovers perhaps? They go a bit lower and still use Bilstein dampers.

I actually did not know that. I'm looking at ST Suspension coil overs. I will research the H&R ones, though. I appreciate your input!

Progressive rates should not cause bounce. They should actually feel softer over most stuff and firm up with bigger hits and/or when pushed harder.

Some may not like that feel but bouncy doesn't seem like the right adjective.

Remember that tire choice can have a huge impact on ride. Moving to Bridgestone S-04 Pole Positions made a noticable difference in ride at lower speeds even on the stock suspension on my car. Some tires are even stiffer still. Move to an 18" wheel and you're cutting another .5" of tire away and you're gonna have an even more noticeable change.

Cheers
Nathan

I missed this post previously. Your car looks lower than the other two that posted here. I wonder why?

Interesting. http://www.gtspirit.com/2013/01/23/b...r-the-brzgt86/

These kits offer 20mm of ride height adjustment from a lower starting point, which equates to a drop of between -30mm and -50mm, Bilstein says that this is the most that it is possible to lower a vehicle before handling becomes adversely affect and safety is compromised.
After thinking about my OEM+ goals and the fact that I live in Alaska, I'm thinking that the Bilsteins will be the best match for me. I think I'm back on board.
