Just weld it to the spare tire well and drive with the trunk open. not like rear visibility would be that much worse.

So let me sum this up.

The GT86 could come with a 2.4l engine next but maybe not.

The MR2 could come back but maybe not.

It could be another collaboration with Subaru but maybe not.

It could have a 1.6l engine but maybe not.

It could put out 300HP if they chose some engine options but maybe not.

It could look like the click bait picture but maybe not.

I could win the lottery this weekend but probably not.

Have I missed anything???

New Mr2/3Brothers click bait. At least it is pretty.

I could live with that. I also like that they say it will have a Toyota engine. We can only hope.

I really dislike futuristic designs. Needs more Lotus, less Bugatti. Would love a new MR2 though, I still need to cross the sw20 from my bucket list..

Looks like an electric shaver.

I'd love a new MR2 though.

Futuristic designs tend to get toned down quite a bit by the time they reach production. It'll have realistic headlights, a more open grille/bumper cover, wheel and tire combo that actually is tucked a bit, door handles and mirrors, etc. Well that is, assuming it makes it beyond this stage... The basic shape isn't bad though, and I kind of like the Supra/FT86 design queues at the rear

Home made render and made up bullshit which means nothing.
This isn't a Toyota release and there is no "stage".

"The Toyota MR2 is a sports car produced by Toyota from the 1990s to the 2000s. Recently, Toyota has plans to resurrect this sports car. This sports car will be smaller than the 86, but the power performance is stronger! However, in terms of price, I am sorry, it will definitely not be cheaper than the current 86! At most, it will only be cheaper than Supra!"

"Compared with the joint development with Subaru 86 and the development of Supra and BMW, the new generation of MR2 is more inclined to be developed by the original factory. The relevant plans are already underway, but recently Tetsuya Tada, the chief engineer of Toyota GAZOO Racing division, said Although the MR2 will be positioned lower than Supra, it will definitely be higher than 86, because the body size of this car may be smaller at Supra and 86, but MR2 is not too cheap due to the complex structure of the body"

"The previous generation of the MR2 uses a mid-rear engine and rear-wheel drive settings, so it is quite good in handling performance, so the same set is expected to be used in the new generation. As for the engine, we don't know what kind of engine Toyota will use. However, it is reported that this car will not be developed by other manufacturers like 86 and Supra, so it can be said that it is orthodox JDM (in fact, 86 should be considered as啦), so Japanese fans should be very happy!"

As Tcoat says, none of the information provided is actually confirmed.
