What will happen to first gen brz/gt86 when the second gen comes out?

I own a 2020 gt86 and I wanna know if I made a mistake not waiting for 2nd gen. I personally like how the old gen looks more but that all depends on opinion. What’s do you all think of this?

If you have too much money the new stuff is always better…

The new better stuff is always announced just after you bought your new stuff.

George Carlin must have made a sketch about this…

You can spend your time chasing whatever is coming out in the future or enjoy and have pride in the things you have NOW.

Your 86 is fine, go out for a drive.

i'll probably end up picking up the final iteration of the second gen in the future. Mainly since it'll likely be the last ICE 86 before it's either axed completely or turned into a hybrid/electric

Like my 2015, your 2020 will turn into a pumpkin once the first 2nd gen rolls of a lot somewhere.

I'm so depressed, I had no idea.

can anyone name 1 vehicle, from any brand, any time period, that an alteration to the brand new model caused the 3-year older model to be worth less than a pack of used condoms?

because i've never heard of it.

but hey, if you're selling your 2020, i've got $3.50.

Two factors led me to get my 2020 a couple of months ago rather than waiting for the new one.

First, in general the last year of a model/generation is almost always the best version of that vehicle and the first year of a new car or new generation is almost always the worst version.

Second, even though I did not necessarily "need" to get a new car yet, I was ready to do so, thus I pulled the trigger with no regrets.

Bottom line is that it is a cheap enough car that if I drive the new one and find it to be a massively superior vehicle I will simply make the transition in a year or two.

They will all spontaneously combust. Make sure you get warning when your local dealer is getting them in so you can get out of the car.
