Perrin Resonated in Bay Area

Hey Everyone! So I've been considering getting an exhaust for my car and have been leaning more towards the Perrin Resonated Catback exhaust. Would like to know if anyone in the bay area has one and if they could possibly let me hear how it sounds. From what people are saying it is a little bit louder than stock but what makes up is how deep the tone is. Yet I haven't heard one in person so I wouldn't know lol. Hope someone could spare some time in there day to help me out, thanks!

Just installed them today. If you're ever around San Jose/Milpitas after 6:00PM or on the weekends shoot me a PM.

Perrin exhausts in general tend to be in the mild side for sound and a little bit higher in price than most exhausts. Perrin doesn't grab any negative attention but sound fantastic under load.

I can vouch for this. I have a full 2.5 headerback and I really like it. It gets so good under load.

@JohnAyySays, if you want to get around a price point a used exhaust could save you a few hundred bucks. I know a guy that will be selling his soon since he is upgrading to the 3.0in.

Any reason why he going for the 3inch? Yea later on down the road I'll probably go full header back but for not I would like an exhaust. How did you like yours with just the exhaust?

My 2.5" Perrin resonated is really quiet mostly due to turbo. As soon as Perrin ships the 3" I ordered (it's back-ordered) I'll have mine for sale.

It's the quietest exhaust I've heard for the BRZ. Just marginally louder and deeper than stock, as well as looking less lame than the stock exhaust

@pmccut Yea I was talking to Perrin and they were saying how the 3inch Perrin Exhaust gives the car a deeper tone but people are saying how if your not turbo don't go 3inch piping and stay 2.5. Could you compare this exhaust to the TRD exhaust?

I personally love the 3" exhaust sound. I think it is the best sounding exhaust that we have.

For more of a comparison between our 2.5" and 3", you can read Jeff's blog which can be found HERE.

Hope that helps a bit.

I don't see any reason not to go 3" for NA. Doesn't hurt, should sound better. I got my shipping notice yesterday so I should be able to install it tomorrow in time for Saturday track day.

I think the main reason to go 2.5 is because there will be a bunch of cheap used ones for sale for those switching over
