Has anyone else tried the Pennzoil sychromesh besides rice_classic? Any reviews? Not that I dont trust them but I like the to have a sample size of more than just one, and when I google/search it shows posts from them from 2012 running the same fluid, so I guess thats a good thing XD.

Another for Redline. I had issues upshifting from first into second gear and downshifting from fifth into fourth gear. Ever since I switched to redline, I have had zero issues.

Is that the redline 50:50?

Was literally just looking for it on CSG. I think motul is too much for the PNW weather. It takes forever to heat up

This reminds me: I put Redline MT-90 in my '14 about four years ago.

It initially had a bit of grind when going into second cold but was fine warmed up. Now (after four years) it seems to be perfecto in all weather.

It only took four years.

I just switched to it and so far I’m impressed. It’s available locally for $9/qt. It’s less notchy than before the swap and if I recall it’s the smoothest it’s ever been.

I had your same problem except with the OEM fluid. Once I switched to Redline, I had no issues. Glad you fixed your problem.

Another vote for Redline. Changed to it from factory oil and it made the transmission feel buttery smooth. I stopped using their engine oil because it is so expensive and I prefer to change at least twice a year, but trans and diff oil is worth it.

In reality just about anything is better than the OEM fluid.

Looking at changing mine over to Redline in the new year, so would the following be correct:
Redline MT-90 75W90 GL4 for Gearbox and Redline 75W85 GL5 for Diff.
Car is a 2014 GT86
Thanks in advance.
