Exclamation ViciousLED Review - Decent Product, Sub-par Customer Service

tl;dr first because most people don't want to read:
- Ordered dome and trunk LED kit
- trunk LED kit arrived DOA
- lots of slow communication from ViciousLED. Finally get address to ship back product.
- Ship back with tracking via UPS since no other instructions
- Seller offers no reimbursement for shipping because they "do not cover shipping charges for warranty work"

Full dicussion:
When I first ordered from ViciousLED, the turnaround time was very fast. Within the same day of ordering, my order was in the mail. However, after contacting him on the forum for customer support, my messages were often ignored while he was still online for the next few days responding to other orders. Throughout the entire process, was not kept up-to-date and often had to send reminder emails for action items. That's not as big an issue - people have their own lives and for some forum vendors, this is not their primary focus in life. Not a big deal.
The kicker was refusal for reimbursement on shipping costs. The seller claims that they "normally recommend customers ship USPS" and "do not cover shipping costs for warranty work," however, (1) I was never informed to use USPS and (2) this doesn't qualify as warranty work as the product arrived defective from the start. This would be like ordering a car and it doesn't turn on when you try it at the dealership, so they charge you a transportation fee to send it back to the factory so they can diagnose it.

To sum it up: ViciousLED has decent product at a good price. There are many satisfied customers, but it seems like from other feedback on the forum and through my own experience, if you are one of the unlucky few that needs customer service, just be aware it isn't top notch.
