Im more mad that I won't hit 200k miles on the original motor. She was still purring at 175k, then CA ruined it for me

A buddy had his motor go having the recall done at the same dealership. He got a lower mileage used engine so that's what I am expecting at this point

You guys getting replacement motors are making me sad. My car is a planter in the driveway since my motor blew in August 13 months and 16k miles after the recall work was done. Trying to sell it but that's tougher than it should be with all the cars with dead motors now.

Screenshot from a video I was sent. They are claiming this is not enough sealant to cause starvation. Also pointed out that it is factory sealant as the recall uses gray sealant. Though that doesn't mean it isn't debris I guess
They are still doing more teardown to check internals. This is just what they got to so far

Just because the sump isn't clogged doesn't mean the silicone at the valve cover gasket isn't blocking other areas. Right?

That doesn't look bad. Were the o-rings on the timing cover in place? Not distorted? If not properly seated on assembly, they pop out under pressure.
