Hi everyone,
New here, just picked up a 2014 Monogram FRS in asphalt, to serve as a second car to my f80 m3. Like the car a lot, but it is gonna need more power. Got a decent discount on it - $1800 off MSRP but was disappointed to find the lease rate higher than the normal FRS. Oh well. |

Welcome. Former E92 M3 owner here. You're gonna love this car if you're truly a car guy...and it appears you are. F80 M3 is gonna make the FR-S seem like a riding mower speed wise tho. Good luck Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

haha. I've had 5 different E9x M3s, 2 sedans, 2 coupes and a convertible. Guess that likely makes me an M3 fanboi. But, I really like the FRS, so far... hopefully a kraftwerks kit is going to fix the forward motivator. |

another M3 and FR-S new owner
Judging by the above posts there are a lot of past and present M3 owners of FR-Ss, which speaks well of the cars. It does not surprise me because I've only had my FR for 1 day but I'm impressed with its roadholding and handling.
Here's a pic of my new-to-me 2013 with my daily driver E36 M3-- surprising how close in size they are actually. Actually I got the FR in hopes that it would drive somewhat like my Dino, as they both have 200hp and weigh about 2800lbs. Maybe if I pull the ABS fuse I can get the FR to rotate around a bit with the throttle like the Dino does. |

Would LOVE to hear your thoughts as to comparison of the FR-S to the E36 M3...if your M3 wasn't so pristine I wouldn't ask. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Some-Time Owner, Lurker
Greetings and salutations! I suppose I'll stop being just a lurker and say hello. I've had my Argento 2014 FRS since last October; this is my first summer driving it and I'm falling in love with it all over again. Already eager to continue modding it. Hopefully I'll be able to return some of what I get out of these forums.
Excellent forums, I'm very appreciative to be part of them. |

New owner
New FR-S owner here! Picked up my 2014 Firestorm Monogram last week and loving it!
Previous cars: 1986 325e 1995 318i 1998 Eclipse turbo 1995 325i 2000 VR6 Jetta 2000 Z3 2.3 2003 Z4 3.0 2005 SLK 350 FR-S is so fun to drive and throw around like my old BMW's! Learning a lot so far off this forum, really want the vortech blower, but I think ill end up doing wheels and suspension first. |

Hi everyone,
i bought my 10 series over the 4th of July weekend. My very first car purchase as well. I've learned a lot by just reading this forum even though I do not have any mods. Looking forward to slowly buying upgrades so I can enjoy the car stock for awhile. Not very many of these driving around Dayton i get tons of compliments all the time |

I'll let you know after I've had the car for a while. The ride firmness is very similar but otherwise they are quite different. The M3 has 50% more power (torque) and the steering is slower but about the same weight. You sit higher in the M3-- more like a low chair rather than sitting on the floorboard like the FRS (at least that's how I have my seat adjusted) - which makes the FRS seem more unusual and more sporty. Both are very neutral handlers- neither wants to plow or swap ends. The M3 sounds better-- a straight six sounds better than a boxer 4- but that's to be expected. More when I've driven the FRS more. |
