Is it possible to get a BRZ without the av/entertainment system?

Crap I mean't *nav* in the title.

In the US.

The one in my friend's is pretty awful and I feel like I'm gonna die someday driving off a cliff trying to seek a track

Would probably just use my iphone for nav and music like I do right now anyways.

Was wondering if you can get the standard subaru radio thing as an option? Preferably without extra fees :x

Check out the Navigation thread. You can find plenty of aftermarket ones there

yeah its oddly one of the key things that makes we kinda want a fr-s lol (but they are gonna put a touch screen thingie standard in 2014... bah)! But I like all the goodies that come with limited.

Standard nav's suck. It's like ~$1000 that you can't not pay for

Get an FRS bro. Then you can do aftermarket add-ons later as you please with the brand you wish.

I'm glad there are people who still think that a touch screen in a car is unncessessary and frustrating to use compared to tactile buttons on a car stereo.

Maybe OP doesn't want an FR-S because the BRZ has standards HIDs and LED DRLs? That was the big selling point for me.

And I agree with the above post. Though navigation screens LOOK nice cars, it's a pain in the ass trying to change stations. I'd prefer buttons since I can do it without looking.

Why would you not want it?

It's worse because there are no music control buttons on the steering wheel (or at least on the one I road in).

Agreed. Having touchscreen and in-dash NAV is too showy and is definitely unnecessary. And to the HIDs and LEDs. It is a bit trivial to determine the choice of the car based off just that, but to each his own. I suppose it just comes down to, do you want to have HIDs and LEDs out the box, or do you want to DIY and upgrade your own way.
