Thanks, I would get a stock flywheel but I can't seem to find one for a good price the Exedy one seems like a good price and if you say I can expect good quality I may get that one. The Exedy is 20lbs so slightly lighter but I will probably just deal with it for the better price.

To chime in..
I have the ACT street lite combo and I HATE IT. The car has tons of driveline noise below 3000rpm.. and by lots I mean it sounds like clattering garbage. It's also a lot more touchy off the line and harder to get a good launch, this is after 6 months with it. Can't wait to ditch it and go with OEM. Flywheel and a stage 1 clutch (lots of mods, E85) |

I have the TRD flywheel, it's wonderful. No noise or vibrations, just a little chatter in neutral when oil is cold.

I have a lightweight flywheel and sports clutch. I would never go with lightweight again as I constantly fight for control at the traffic lights.
Next time I will go with a more expensive clutch and flywheel. |

Lightened flywheels are lightened near the edges, so less rotational mass for sure.

I love my fidanza lightweight flywheel. With a Southbend stage 3 daily, it's not difficult to manage in stop and go traffic. Way more responsive than stock. Registers a lot of fake misfires though (no impact on performance)

I had a TODA RACING lightweight flywheel and clutch. The car was more difficult to ride in city and there wasn't any difference in performance. I went back to the OEM flywheel and clutch and the car is drivable again.

I have the Exedy stage 1 lightweight flywheel and clutch combo and love it. Pros are the engine free revs much quicker for easier rev matching. In fast up shifts, the clutch grabs immediately which feels great, especially combined with stiffer trans and rear diff bushings. Overall the car feels more responsive. Downsides are pretty minimal IMO. Slight increase in chatter at a stop. Stiffer clutch feel. If you tend to stall the engine, this will only make it worse due to the grabbier clutch and lack of weight in the flywheel. The rhythm/timing of shifts speeds up, so if you prefer lazy/slow shifting, this isn’t for you. That’s about it I can think of.
I’ll definitely miss this mod on my gen 2.
