Which is almost 30% more of a gain than would be expected. Again, you're looking at actual BHP numbers of like 250-255 with those numbers.

If it was truly a 20% gain, you'd be seeing numbers between 185 and 205, not 200 and 215.

Second gen cars are averaging in the 210s, which is consistent with the 101 mph trap speeds in the magazine tests. I guess that means a gain of more than 20%, and it doesn’t help that the first gen cars (especially 13-16) were probably overrated, if anything.

Outrageous isn't it. Can't believe Subaru are giving people more power than they asked for. Shame on them.

You're assuming that drivetrain loses also somehow increase with engine displacement.
A 20% increase at the crank is ~40hp, and that's about how much extra we see at the wheels.

Yeah and that is why SAE and STD corrections exists...We have nearly a dozen dyno samples from different shops now. The car is avg 210whp. 90% of them are using STD or SAE correction for atmospheric conditions. No matter how you argue it the GEN2 is making 40whp more than the Gen1 on avg.

I am aware that only SAE is correcting the air intake temperature and I have seen only one dyno with such correction measured at 198-200whp. It is not a new thing to measure low or high depending on tuner purposes. I am sure the same shops that measure it now on average 210whp will come in future and say that the new car is not fast enough.

Both correct for air intake temperature..
SAE reference condition 29.23 InHg and 77F (25C)
STD reference condition 29.92 InHg and 90F (15.5C)

Here's yet another dyno to drive the point home for you. And before you try, apparently both cars were tested the same day but even if they weren't thats literally what correction factors are for.

This is the dyno provided from Savagegeese right? Sorry, but given the history of this guy on the forum I don't trust him. He was an early adopter of the first generation model and turned out after to be a hater of the platform. Not sure why he changed his opinion lately. Poor sales in the overall sports car category?

No offense, but what is with you? The tuning shop is who provided the dyno service. They don't care if you like the host. The dyno doesn't care what you trust. You made a statement with no evidence and then evidence proving your statement incorrect is brought forth. Its OK to be wrong. I didn't think the FA24 was going make near the power it does but in stock form its only 10-15whp off $12K K24A2 FBO swaps. Eh, I was wrong it happens.

I think you might be underestimating how much people hate the interior of the 1st Gen lol. Also, good luck convincing the masses to daily drive a K24A2 swap. I would want the K20/24 swap making nearly 300whp N/A, built.

OK so thats one of results, for arguments sake lets exclude that because you don't trust him and he must be skewing his dyno... but what about the rest?

Must have just been really really cold when they all dyno'd their cars.

What about all those Gen 1s that have been on dynos? That must mean they are not SAE of STD corrected too and therefore their results are even lower?

Finally there are results overlayed from the same dyno of Gen 1 cars and Gen 2 and in those instances they is a consistent 40whp difference.

I've seen alot of your posts, you are digging yourself a hole. Nobody is going to take you seriously.

I thought we are talking about dyno's numbers not the interiors.. I never said people should daily a swapped car of any kind only that the FA24 is putting out power near a FBO k24A2. So if one was on the fence of swapping just buy a GEN2. And yeah a 300whp K24A2 swap would be great, you'd be in near 18K for 300whp but YOLO.

lol if the donor car is cheap enough, could be fun. Tho if I was doing that it would be going into a Toyota MR-S(MR2)
