Did they use the same 2013-14 spring or different?

Thanks.
I don't think so since the Sachs shocks are part of an optional handling package with Toyota. The stock Showa shocks probably had the valving revised. On the BRZ tS the front Showa shocks are totally different construction with more travel and rigidity by extending the bottom of the shock body (the Sachs look just the same as stock).

But I did read that during development of the twins, they already had two versions of shocks from Showa and Sachs respectively.

Just a question. I noticed the subaru brz series blue has red calipers.

Can't we buy the series blue calipers and use them on our brz/frs instead of painting them?

Sure you could... but why? There's no performance increase w/ the red calipers. They are just the standard calipers like the ones on your car just painted red.

New calipers will cost A LOT more than a caliper paint kit.

I confirm about the Sachs dampers. They are sold as an option:

So after all they re-tuned the Showa shocks.

The price doesn't look too bad for those Sachs dampers. Not sure how they will pair up with the STI pink springs.

If STI decides to sell the springs and dampers combo off the tS, it will be like another 100,000 yen on top of that price.

Did the Sachs use the same spring as stock one (2013-1014)?
Thanks.

Yes the idea is to use the same springs.

It is still not very clear for me that the STI Ts use the same pink spring
as standard one or not.

I thought that the front is different before.

How about the new Showa strut? Is that same as STI? What kind of
spring they are using?

It has so many kinds of combination now ><.

Thanks.

STI has a history of selling springs + dampers cup kit combo for their other models. The combo for the tS have different front springs than the standalone springs kit.

The new stock black body Showa damper is not the same as the silver body Showa damper on the tS, as the shock body designs are totally different.

I'm sticking with my 2014 stock dampers with STI standalone springs kit.

The Crystal White Pearl is a tad bit beige with some sparkle...however it isn't creamy like SWP.

Yes, I also think that the front spring is different between the ts and the
standard one.
However, I am not sure why DsomegaX got the STI ts dampers combo with the standard STI spring.

I am not sure which back Showa damper you refer.
The new one looks red body for me.

I heard that STI ts damper also made by Showa and curious those
two are same or not.
Thanks.
