Uh-oh. How do I explain to the wife that I accidentally ordered some headers today?
"Sorry dear. I slipped and fell on the keyboard and just happened to fill in a form"?

"Subaru issued a global recall on the OEM manifold and they offered all twin owners the option of a dealer swap out or a prepaid voucher for JDL UEL replacement. I choose the voucher since I can do the install myself and save a day spent waiting at the dealer - this way we can still go out to eat later at [insert name of her favorite restaurant]."

Seems a little low for a dynojet measured twin on JDL UEL's running E85. You should be decently north of 200 whp on a dynojet.

That exhaust does have one righteous rumble, though .

Yeah I'm really not sure what to attribute it to. TSM seem to think it's the E-Tune but @moto-mike has done a great job dailing it in for me so far; it's putting out nice and safe logs right now. Perhaps I can send Mike some more logs and see if there's any more opportunity.

I dunno if it's worth ~$400 to try and get that last 5-10 peak whp with a custom in-person dyno tune.

I do still have the stock front and mid pipe, and rather weak corn flakes which read 70% Ethanol on my gauge with zero gasoline in the tank.

No doubt with some time on the dyno we can hit 200+.

But you sir run a lot of trackdays, and that being the case we like your IAM as high as possible and knock counts at 0.

That last 5 hp is certainly there if we pushed it a bit more. Also I think that's SAE correction. Use STD like most others and you'll get a bit higher of a number probably.

Also that stock front pipe is a killer. We see a good gain there when it all matches from header to the rear at a full 2.5"

I haven't tested it but I doubt you will get much gain going from 70% to 85% NA. Even FI the difference isn't "massive" going that bit of ethanol increase. The octane increase is probably beyond beneficial at that point as you would be breaking past MBT and not bouncing off a knock wall as much. I haven't tested it my self (but plan to) on where there becomes a point on the difference between octane differences on NA that far up is. But others have mentioned doubting much gain past 96-98 octane. Did you by chance do a baseline, or know what stock cars typically run on that specific dynojet?

I don't have a stock baseline but I know Doug at @TopSpeed does for his BRZ on that dyno. He may have posted it here somewhere, I can't remember.

Edit: here it is, 169whp and 137wtq http://www.ft86club.com/forums/showthread.php?p=1498223

The dyno said STD on it.
