So I mulled this over last night. Do I live with this quirk or move on to another platform. Not a huge deal, but big enough issue I’m reconsidering my choice of the BRZ. Need new rotors and don’t want to sink a bunch of money into this thing if I’m going to pull the plug.

Has anyone taken it into a dealer for “warranty” work. The used market is still strong enough it would be easy to jump ship.

Curious what other 22’ owners are planning or trying.

Maybe the thumb, t11? 12 has that change in grade part way through. I can see T8 causing it, my car just doesn't hook up there so it doesn't happen to me there.

Probably just a combination of heat, and how hard you were working the car.

The more grip the car makes (or as you get quicker) the more frequent it becomes

Interference between the chassis and sway bar endlink, chassis and sway bar, endlink binding, etc can also cause it but I've already fixed all of that.

I agree, 2:01:07 yesterday. Previously 2:02-2:03. New best for me and starting to push harder.

What other platforms would you consider?

Yes, that is the one. I got the one where you set the assist where you want it with the button, and it gives a consistent level of assist.

What suspension geometry differences would you recommend? More Caster?

I would expect more caster to make it worse.

I'm also curious what suspension geometry changes are supposed to solve this.

I swapped from JRZs to Shaftworks last week, absolutely verified that there is no binding in the bar endlinks, zero contact anywhere, etc. The cutout is still there.

The car only sees about 1.3-1.4g lateral, it doesn't happen during laps that are a couple seconds off pace.

So, funny story, I was helping Vorshlag set the M3 CSL parameter on their MK60 ABS yesterday and I happened across this picture that he posted.

Might be worth a shot.

Upgrading to Nvidia 4090 may really be worth it, but then you're too heavy for the class?
