What i have noticed is that i had it a few times when the car was new (late May early June) but have stopped completely as of late. It's been decently cold here, definitely cooler than May and i have not had any issues yet.

What is "hyperflash?" I must have missed that somewhere in the thread.

The signals flash super fast.

Sigh. After a looong time without it happening. Happened again today for a few minutes. Tried for a few minutes at the light switching from right to left to see if it would go away. FInally gave up and thought i must have a light out. But once i went under an overpass and the auto headlights came on and off, the turn signals worked fine again. It is sooo odd.

Also know that I've had the car for awhile, I don't understand all the complaining about the turn signals. The work just like most modern cars I've been in and all the BMWs I've driven.

Gentle touch for 3 lane change blinks, press it pass the detent to get the full turn signal that goes off when you turn.

If this is difficult for someone, I would seriously question their physical aptitude to be driving a car in the first place.

Hmm, i think you are misunderstanding. The turn signals from time to time act like there is a blown bulb. They start flashing really fast, whether you have the 3 touch lane change on or not. In my case it is off. When the signal is flashing fast inside the cabin, there is no turn signal on outside the car. The hyperflashing symptoms are that at times the car acts like a light is out, then returns to normal.

I had read people complaining about the function. To the point that one person even went so far as to put in a first gen stalk.

Haven't experienced the hyperflashing.

Oh. Complaining about the actual stalk and functionality change. I don't even notice the difference anymore. When it works its just a turn signal. I just want it to work all the time and not go into that failure mode.

Anyone else notice the external temperature reading is really inaccurate?

My car always reads high and seems to be getting farther off the longer I own the car. In cold weather it's about 4~5 degrees F off. In temps over 70F it 5~7 degree's off. Strangely enough, when temps approach 100F, it's only 2~3 degree's off.

I understand it's not going to be extremely accurate, but at this point it's not even a good reference point until temps approach 100F. The fact it seems to be getting worse makes it a waste of space on the dash display.

yup, this is the case with my car. I went as far as asking people at stop lights to see what their car was reading.....mine reads a couple of degrees (celcius) higher than other cars.

So they found how to replicate and also how to mitigate the hyperflashing over on *********. Of course Subaru isn't interested.:
