Very weird AWD setup! Outside-the-box thinking on this, IMO it's actually a *simpler* solution than having a center diff which would also need to have some kind of limited slip feature... It does seem a bit CRUDE, but if it works predictably and reliably...

Reminds me of an aftermarket 2wd system for motorcycles that would underdive the front wheel and utilized a one-way mechanism so that the front wheel did nothing until there was rear wheelspin. Neat! But weird...

yea, i wonder what the service intervals will be. and when one is driving 30/70, i do wonder about drivetrain thermal load.

is this going to be a repeat of the focus rs rear diff overheating issues?

Is it not the same system as the GR Yaris? The added weight of the Corolla will complicate things a bit, but I don't think we've heard much bad about longevity issues so far on the Yaris (which is admittedly not that old, but should have plenty of hard-use examples out there).

It's 30k for the Haldex diff on my GTI. It's also a pretty easy fluid replacement process.

18:25 is when the helmet goes on. I saved you 5 seconds of scrubbing.

I would do the track edition and do my own mods for the $7k instead of buying the Morizo Edition, if I was in the market.

Being faster around Throttle House's track than a Type R on Cup 2's is notable.

Type R is a FWD piece of crap, of course the GR should be faster, otherwise engineers should be ashamed of themselves.
