But that defeats the whole convenience factor. If you're going to do that you might as well do this:

Well, not exactly, but I'll tell my jeep sleeping story (maybe - again?) anyway.

It was a hot time (temps in the 120s) in August down at Fort Irwin, CA (just south of Death Valley).

My driver parked our jeep in a rocky gully, late at night, for a couple hours that was supposed to be a break in the training. I decided to climb up onto the bows of the canvass jeep top for a short snooze. I even took my boots off (they hadn't been off for three days).

I no more than dozed off when some smart ass "friend" of mine set off an artillery simulator next to my jeep. I bolted up, forgot I was on the top of a jeep (with no boots on) and jumped (fell) onto the rocky gully.

Yep, messed up my ankle pretty bad. -

(how many times have I told this story @Tcoat , I've lost count - )

Do you have a toaster oven with a reheat (roasting) mode? Weenies in there until nice & toasty. Then add the fries and wait for them to sizzle. Good eatin'.

OK - THAT'S IT!

NOW, I have to go fix myself some dinner. I let my wife out of the basement but the only things she knows how to "cook" is salads and grilled fish -

lol, as the resident expert Single Guy®, i can inform you that this won't work.

fries are a part of the magical food group.

fries always take 25 minutes longer than expected. at 24 minutes, they're still warm but raw. at 25.1 minutes, they self-immolate.

from frozen, the instructions clearly state 20 minute cook times. they're actually 42.3 minute cook times. 42.5 minutes, they self-immolate. again.

hmm. maybe that's why she was in the basement in the first place.

maybe she wrote the instructions so you'd let her out!

of course, the instructions only say the meals are easy. there's no promise of taste, or substance for that matter!

Not wrong but if you just watch the fries until they're ready, the weenies will be even more perfecter.
