This is a problem for me as well. I ordered 2 of these but they are useless, too big to fit on the knee pad trim alone and can't be glued all the way to the edge of the current knee pad (and I need it on the edge) since they are not flexible enough.

I searched a lot for a solution and I think modifying the existing knee pads is the best option. Since I don't want to ruin my own, I'm waiting to find a wrecked car and buy a separate set. Or simply order these and mess with them (assuming they don't fix the problem altogether).

biggie: thin ones you linked to 2nd are just for console tunnel. Remember about padding on door too. And don't you have them already? I thought those thin pads are already on all twins, no (just different ones having different stitching color)? And from my experience thin ones alone are not sufficient, i bruise my knees with them. Badly, if 2 trackdays in a row.
I'm rather thinking on thicker TRD ones that go on top of stock thin pads, but they seem RHD, for right seat, so not sure on fitment. Dislike also bit that they require drilling into panels. Hoping that someone other tries them first, before committing to purchase

I have the thin ones, yes, but in the description they said "You won't see these in USDM vehicles straight from the factory" so I thought these are a bit different from the "factory" ones.

I did not forgot about the door side, but if I fix the tunnel side I guess I could use one of those cushions from ebay on the door side (will look very ugly, but...)

200$ is a bit much for some cushions, imho.
I still think modifying existing ones is your/my best bet. I'll keep you posted

I am using knee pads from Home Depot, very thick. Helps also to have my leg more align.
I wear them on top of the pant.

Can you post a link or a photo? Maybe I'll find something similar on the local market, as I'm a bit far from HD
